Fisk University and historic Jefferson Street are about 10 minutes away on foot. Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park is about a 10 minute walk, with paths, fountains, and views of the Capitol.

Most of downtown is within a 10 minute drive. Walking is a great way to see the area on a nice day.
