Pinkerton Park and its trail along the Harpeth River are a short drive away. Leiper's Fork, a tiny village of art galleries and country stores, is about 20 minutes away. The Park at Harlinsdale Farm, a historic horse farm turned public park, is just up Franklin Road.

Interstate 65 is close by for trips into Nashville. A car is the easiest way to get around Franklin and into Nashville.
