Highland Heights and the area around Dickerson Pike have changed a lot in recent years, with new homes and new restaurants. Rooftops here often catch great views of the downtown skyline.

Shelby Bottoms Greenway is about 10 minutes away for walks and bike rides. The Basement East and other East Nashville music venues are close by. Five Points, East Nashville's main crossroads, is about five minutes by car.

Downtown and Lower Broadway are about 8 to 10 minutes by car. A car is useful for exploring, but rideshares cover most trips.
