Privacy Policy

Homebase — internal operations & financial dashboard for Host Extraordinaires. Effective June 17, 2026.

Homebase ("the Application") is a private, internal business tool operated by Host Extraordinaires ("we", "us"). It is used by our own authorized administrators to view our company's financial information. The Application is not offered to the public and does not serve external end users. This policy explains what data the Application accesses and how it is handled.

1. Information we access

With an administrator's authorization, the Application connects to QuickBooks Online on a read-only basis and retrieves company accounting reports — Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, the chart of accounts, and related financial figures. The Application does not create, modify, or delete any data in QuickBooks. It does not access personal consumer financial accounts.

2. How we use it

Retrieved financial data is used solely to display dashboards, reports, trends, and budgets to our authorized administrators inside Homebase. We do not sell, rent, or share this data with third parties, and we do not use it for advertising.

3. Storage & security

Financial data is stored in our private Supabase (PostgreSQL) database with row-level security so that only authorized administrators can read it. QuickBooks OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest and are accessible only to our server-side functions — never exposed to the browser. Access to the Application requires authentication and is restricted to administrator roles.

4. Data retention

Synced financial figures are retained for as long as the integration is connected, to support historical trends. An administrator may disconnect QuickBooks at any time from within the Application, which revokes the stored tokens. We delete or revoke stored credentials upon disconnection or on request.

5. Third parties

The Application relies on Intuit QuickBooks Online (source of the financial data), Supabase (data storage), and Vercel (hosting). Data is shared with these processors only as needed to operate the Application.

6. Your choices

Because this is an internal tool for our own company's data, the QuickBooks connection can be revoked at any time by an administrator via the Application's Disconnect control, or from within QuickBooks under Apps > Connected apps.
