Nashville Party Bus, Pedal Tavern and Party Tractor Guide: Who Offers What and What It Costs in 2026

Compare every Nashville party bus, pedal tavern, party tractor and party truck in one place, with real 2026 prices, BYOB rules and booking tips for your group.

Most Nashville party rides cost $38 to $50 a seat on a shared tour, or about $395 to $850 to book the whole ride for your group. Pick by three things: whether you want to pedal, whether you want to bring your own drinks, and how many friends are coming.

We pulled every price below from the operators' own websites on October 29, 2026. Prices change often and usually exclude taxes, fees and tips, so confirm at checkout.

Key Takeaways Cheapest seat: shared tours start around $38 (Nashville Party Barge) to $49.99 (Nashville Pedal Tavern). Cheapest private ride: Rowdy Bus at $395 Monday to Thursday and Sprocket Rocket from $395. BYOB or not: pedal taverns, the Party Barge, the Fire Engine and most buses are BYOB with no glass and usually 8% alcohol or less. Honky Tonk Party Express, Hell on Wheels, Big Drag Bus and The Nashville Tractor sell drinks instead. Age: Metro bars anyone under 21 from a ride where alcohol is aboard. Big Drag Bus is 18 and up, and Party N Ride and Party Central take under 21 groups with no alcohol. * Tip: gratuity is not included. Rowdy Bus suggests $10 to $20 per person.

What kinds of party rides can you book in Nashville?

Pedal taverns (bar bikes). You and up to 15 friends pedal a rolling bar through downtown while a guide steers. You do some work, and you get the best street level view.

Party buses. Converted buses, many marketed as open air with a clear or rain top, a sound system, LED lights and a host or bartender. No pedaling, and most hold about 25 to 35.

Party tractors and wagons. A big farm tractor pulls a custom wagon with a dance floor and saddle seats. It is the most "only in Nashville" option on the list.

Specialty trucks. Think a restored military troop truck (Hell on Wheels) or a real fire engine owned by a Nashville firefighter (Music City Party Fire Engine).

Golf cart tours. Smaller, calmer and great for sightseeing with a guide.

The operators, one by one

Nashville Pedal Tavern: the classic bar bike

This is the ride most people picture. You pedal a 90 minute loop down Honky Tonk Highway past the Country Music Hall of Fame and Bridgestone Arena, with one or two bar stops for drink specials and photos.

It is BYOB with beer or standard seltzer at 8% or less, no glass, kegs, liquor, wine or champagne. Everyone needs a valid 21 and up ID and a signed online waiver. Arrive 30 minutes early and plan just over two hours total. The ride starts in Midtown and ends near Lower Broadway, so plan your ride home. (What to Know)

Sprocket Rocket Party Bike: the budget bar bike

A party bike for 4 to 16 riders that runs morning, afternoon and night from 535 Lafayette Street. Shared seats start at $39 and private bikes at $395, the lowest private bike price we found. It is BYOB at 8% or less with no glass, wine, champagne, liquor or liquor based seltzers. Non pedal seats are available, rides last about 1.5 to 1.75 hours, and you should arrive 30 minutes early. (sprockettours.com, FAQ)

The Nashville Tractor: the giant red tractor wagon

A bright red Case IH tractor pulls a custom wagon with a light up dance floor, saddle seats and an onboard entertainer who might sing you a song. It has shown up in a Walker Hayes music video and on MTV's Siesta Key. Wagons hold 30, 35 or 45 riders, and the ride itself is 90 minutes. BYOB is not allowed because the tractor holds a permit to sell, so drinks run $3 to $9 onboard. Arrive 45 minutes to an hour early for check in and yard games. Private tours start at $297.50. (thenashvilletractor.com, FAQ)

Hell on Wheels: the military party truck

Restored military style trucks, private bookings only, 90 minutes through downtown. Check in at Buckwild Bar on Fesslers Lane, which has a mechanical bull, yard games and a food truck. BYOB is not allowed because there is a permitted bar onsite and a mobile bar on the truck. Arrive an hour early and plan two to three hours total. Cancel with two weeks notice for a refund or credit, and no shows pay full price. (FAQ)

Honky Tonk Party Express: the rolling honky tonk

A custom roofless bus with a see through rain roof, a 40 plus speaker sound system, an LED dance floor and a certified party host. Shared seats start at $49 with a six person combined minimum. It is not BYOB, and you start and end at the Honky Tonk Hideaway and Cantina on Lewis Street. Arrive an hour early. (Public packages)

Rowdy Bus: the BYOB bus with a bartender

Rowdy Bus pairs BYOB with a VIP bartender, cups, coolers and ice. Private rentals are $395 Monday to Thursday and $595 Friday to Sunday plus fees for up to 25. Pickup is only at 1343 Lewis Street because of city rules, so take a rideshare there. (rowdybus.com)

Big Drag Bus: the drag queen party

Drag queens host a 90 minute cruise along Honky Tonk Row with ice breakers, performances and dancing. It is 18 and up, drinks are bought from the bus, and reservations and waivers are required. (bigdragbus.com)

Joyride: party bus and golf carts

Joyride runs a two hour party bus from $49 a seat that holds up to 35, with an optional tour guide add on for a sightseeing version. It also runs 1.5 hour golf cart sightseeing tours from $45. (Party bus, golf carts)

Nashville Party Barge: float down Broadway

A barge on wheels where every seat is a good seat, with up to 18 guests on the Big Kahuna Bus or Unsinkable. It is BYOB in cans at 8% or less, with a cooler, cups, ice and an aux cord, and tours include bar stops and photo ops. Pick the Ultimate Party People Tour from $38, Murals and Mimosas from $40, or the 2.5 hour Dive Bar Dash from $45. (nashvillepartybarge.com)

Music City Party Fire Engine: the real fire truck

A real fire engine owned by a Nashville born firefighter, with a professional driver (usually a firefighter) and a host. Private tours run about two hours, BYOB with no glass. It costs $495 Sunday to Thursday and $550 Friday and Saturday, which the operator puts at about $31 to $35 per person with 15 riders. There are no refunds, and reschedules are at the operator's discretion. (partyfireengine.com)

How do you pick the right party ride?

  • You want to sweat a little and see everything: a pedal tavern (Nashville Pedal Tavern or Sprocket Rocket).

  • It is hot, rainy or cold: a covered or clear roof ride like Honky Tonk Party Express or Hell on Wheels, which runs with a canopy.

  • You want to bring your own drinks: Pedal Tavern, Sprocket Rocket, Party Barge, Fire Engine, Rowdy Bus, Ultimate Party Bus, Party N Ride, Party Central or Yeehaw. Check each one's ABV and no glass rules.

  • You do not want to haul a cooler: The Nashville Tractor, Hell on Wheels, Honky Tonk Party Express or Big Drag Bus sell drinks.

  • Your group is under 21: Party N Ride (with a legal age chaperone) and Party Central take under 21 groups with no alcohol aboard. Big Drag Bus is 18 and up.

  • You want air conditioning and a private bus: Party N Ride.

  • You want a photo nobody else has: the tractor or the fire engine.

What does a Nashville party ride cost by group size?

These are estimates from the listed prices above, before taxes, fees and tips.

  • 2 to 5 people: book shared seats. Expect about $38 to $53 each. Shared tours need a combined minimum (6 on Honky Tonk Party Express and Nashville Pedal Tavern), so a slow slot can get moved.

  • 8 to 15 people: a private ride usually wins. A $395 Sprocket Rocket bike split 15 ways is about $26 each. A $520 Nashville Pedal Tavern bike is about $35 each. The Fire Engine is about $31 to $35 each by the operator's own math.

  • 16 to 25 people: go private on a bus or truck. A $595 weekend Rowdy Bus or Honky Tonk Party Express split 25 ways is about $24 each.

  • 26 to 45 people: Joyride and Nashville Ultimate Party Bus hold up to 35, The Nashville Tractor's biggest wagon holds 45, or book two rides side by side. Nashville Pedal Tavern can run groups up to 195 across several bikes.

Add the tip. Rowdy Bus suggests $10 to $20 per person, and Honky Tonk Party Express suggests about $90 to $120 on a $595 ride.

Booking tips that save your weekend

  1. Book weekends early. Saturday slots are the first to go, and The Nashville Tractor says it sells out fast. Lock in your ride as soon as your dates are set.

  2. Read the refund policy. Several operators, including Music City Party Fire Engine, have no refund policies. Hell on Wheels refunds with two weeks notice.

  3. Sign waivers before you arrive. Most rides email a waiver link, and every rider must sign.

  4. Bring real ID. Expect every rider to be carded at check in.

  5. Arrive early. Plan 30 minutes for Pedal Tavern, Sprocket Rocket and Party N Ride, and an hour for Honky Tonk Party Express and Hell on Wheels.

  6. Plan the ride home. Many rides start on Lewis Street, Fesslers Lane or in Midtown and do not end where you parked. Use a rideshare both ways.

  7. Cans only. Glass is banned on every BYOB ride we checked.

What are Nashville's rules for party rides?

Metro Nashville licenses party buses, tractors and trucks as entertainment transportation vehicles (ETVs) under Metro Code Chapter 6.77, and pedal taverns as pedal carriages under Chapter 6.75. The Transportation Licensing Commission (TLC) sets the detailed rules. Here is what matters for your group, from the TLC Rules and Procedures dated January 20, 2026 unless noted. (TLC rules, Jan 20, 2026, checked Oct 29, 2026)

Rules for party buses, tractors and trucks

  • Everyone 21 and up when alcohol is aboard. Operators must check every rider's ID with an ID app or scanner, and no one under 21 may ride where alcohol is present. Drinking is allowed only as state and Metro Beer Board rules permit. (Section 810)

  • Extra staff when drinks are open. Up to 25 riders with open containers means one staff member besides the driver. 26 or more means two. (Section 805 i)

  • Hours. Rides run from 9 AM and must be off public roads by 11 PM. (Section 807 f)

  • No downtown rush hour. From 4 to 6 PM Monday to Friday, ETVs cannot run between Union Street and Korean Veterans Boulevard and between 1st and 8th Avenues, except on approved routes. (Metro Transportation Licensing, Section 805 f)

  • Approved pickup spots only. ETVs load and unload only at Metro approved curb spots or on private property with the owner's OK. That is why so many rides share the 1343 Lewis Street depot. (Section 807 d)

  • Stay in your seat area. No riding outside the designated seating while moving. (Section 807 c)

  • Bad weather cancels. ETVs cannot run during a severe thunderstorm, tornado or flood warning, or with snow or ice on the road. (Section 807 g)

  • Fully enclosed vehicles. The rules now require ETVs to be fully enclosed (Section 804 c), so a ride marketed as open air may run with sides or a clear top. Ask the operator what to expect.

  • Sound stays inside. Speakers cannot point outside, and airhorns and sirens are banned. (Section 809)

Rules for pedal taverns

  • No weekday rush hours. No pedal vehicles on the streets 7 to 9 AM Monday to Friday, and from 4 to 6 PM only on approved routes. (Section 702)

  • A set downtown zone. Pedal vehicles stay inside a boundary that runs roughly from Harrison Street and 1st Avenue to Lindsley, Division, 21st Avenue South and Charlotte Avenue. (Section 703)

  • Quiet zones. Rides go silent near schools, churches, hospitals and beside the Music City Center and Country Music Hall of Fame. (Section 704)

  • New 2026 ordinance. BL2026-1490 amends Chapter 6.75. Pedal carriages must move with traffic, cannot use bike lanes and are treated as entertainment vehicles. Metro Council passed it August 4, 2026, and the mayor signed it August 7, 2026. (Metro Council legislation, checked Oct 29, 2026)

Who is permitted. Metro's May 2026 list of permitted ETV companies includes Big Drag Bus, Hell on Wheels, Honky Tonk Party Express, Music City Party Fire Engine, Nashville Party Barge, Nashville Ultimate Party Bus, Party Bus Music City, Party Central, Party N Ride, Rowdy Bus, The Nashville Tractor, Joyride, Upstage Party Bus and Yeehaw Party Bus. (Metro Nashville company summary, May 2026) Pedal taverns are permitted separately, so confirm with the operator.

Operator BYOB limits, such as 8% alcohol or less and no glass, are each company's own policy on top of these rules.
